As Christmas approaches, it presents an opportunity for interior decoration inspiration. Each year, holiday decorations tend to become increasingly grand and imaginative. The creativity showcased on platforms such as Pinterest and the influential trends on TikTok provide a wealth of ideas for enhancing the festive spirit in our spaces. The possibilities for bringing the magic of Christmas to life are truly remarkable.
From chrome to pastels, colour schemes are continually evolving, and this year is no exception. Bold pops of navy, burgundy, and gold will undoubtedly capture everyone’s attention. Whether you favour traditional ornaments in striking colour combinations or a sleek minimalist approach with elegant bows adorning the tree, it’s the lasting impact that truly makes your decor stand out. As for our tree this year, we’ll be sticking with our satin bows and ever so delicate gold lighting for a simple yet chic feel.
Equally as important, is the need for scents that embody a ‘warm’ Australian Christmas. It’s rarely the commercially made ‘Christmas’ fragrances that gain our interest; instead, it’s the earthy, woody, and warm aromas that fill our homes with a comforting essence, evoking the spirit of a white or a true Australian floral Christmas. Our favourites are Diptyque’s Figuier and Tubereuse, Maison Francis Kurkdjian Mon Beau Sapin, and Trudon Ernesto.
Finally, florals are a key element in enhancing your home during the festive season. A beautifully decorated tree deserves to be complemented by a well-decorated space, creating an atmosphere of sophistication. From November to early February, we enjoy the blooming of hydrangeas, which is a delight for anyone who loves flowers. Not only are hydrangeas vibrant and full of life, but when properly cared for, they are also one of the longest-lasting flowers. This makes them perfect for the festive season, especially when you’re entertaining family and friends.
With love,
