Dubai is a city known for its opulence and continual ability to captivate. It seamlessly integrates towering skyscrapers from Downtown Duabi, with lively traditional souks in Old Town, presenting a blend of the ultra-modern and the mesmerisingly traditional. Although our stay was short, it has become a destination we’ll always (strong emphasis on ‘always’) make time for.
During my recent visit to this bustling and glamorous city, I found my stay at Raffles The Palm Dubai particularly memorable. The hotel served as a luxurious sanctuary nestled amongst the tranquil Palm, with captivating views of the Persian Gulf and the city landscape. Whilst ‘regency’ seems vast, the interior’s were opulent and most certainly elegant, alluding to the hotels conceptual idea of resembling an 18th century European Palace – fit for the princess in us all.

Culinary experiences in Dubai, as defined by a self proclaimed epicurean, was nothing short of exceptional. The Palm is riddled with temptation of some of Dubai’s finest gastronomic experiences, all of which were located within neighbouring 5 star hotels across the offshore island. From NOBU or Ossiano located in Atlantis The Palm, to La Mar Dubai by Gastón Acurio, the flavour journey is reminiscent of life’s finest art, absorbing global delicacies amongst guests who appreciate.

DAY DRESSING
As for dressing in 40 degree heat? Well that was a challenge, yet I found solace in free flowing dresses that were both respectable and breathable.
On most days, I wore a Zimmerman Linen Mini Dress and a similar design to the Zimmerman Belted Linen Dress which was comfortable in the summer heat and practical for a day of shopping at the Dubai Mall – paired with my Hermes Oran sandals for a casual feel, or my Repetto Ballerina’s for a sophisticated look.

EVENING ATTIRE
For evenings, ‘glamour and bedazzle’ was a notable dress code. And if you’re visiting the Palms delicacies, you’ll be sure to find spectacular dressed individuals.
I took full advantage and wore a LBD Tulle Mini Dress paired with Blue Manolo Blahnik Hangisi’s with a matching clutch for a night at Nobu, Atlantis.
