For many, a European summer is one of dreams. Sun-kissed skin, rosy red cheeks, and colourful ensembles are brought to life by the beauty of the Mediterranean. And for Dior enthusiasts, the month of June brings a collection filled with vibrant colors and joy, evoking the spirit of an everlasting summer – unveiling Dioriveria.
The Maison’s sixth iteration of the Dioriveria collection features vibrant colourways inspired by the French Riviera. This collection is special due to the ongoing reinvention of the Maison’s signature print, otherwise known as ‘House codes,’ paying tribute to Monsieur Dior’s passion for travel and adventure.
This year, head designer Maria Grazia Chiuri is introducing two new Toile De Jouy House codes: Toile de Jouy Sauvage and Toile de Jouy Soleil. These designs will feature vibrant colours in either safari or astrology codes, such as candy pink, aquamarine, coral, baby pink, lime yellow, and navy blue. The signature Lady Dior’s, Silk Twills, leather goods and lightweight fabrics will all be available in the new prints and colourways. And just like that, this elegant collection is sure to inspire a vibrant summer.
A signature of summer, Dioriveria is not just for fancy lunches and spontaneous evening cocktails. Rather it captures the spirit of adventure inspired by the freedom of summertime. This collection includes a yoga mat, tennis dress, and a signature notebook featuring Toile de Jouy designs – all of which seem like an invitation for us to embrace the sunshine.
We were fortunate to see the beautiful collection in store, complete with a delightful offering of freshly squeezed juices served upon arrival, reminiscent of the south of France. At first sight, the vibrant colours captured our attention, followed by intricately designed mosaics made of tiny shells in the patterns of the classic Dior Book Tote and safari animals, paying tribute to the Toile de Jouy Sauvage print. For those who love Dior’s designs like we do, any excuse to play dress up is a day well spent.
